Nick Loenen

Former BC MLA, Social Credit Party

I support proportional representation because it yields stable, long-term public policies. In contrast to first-past-the-post, Pro Rep voting systems do not throw out an entire administration to bring in a whole new one. As a result, advances in public policy are incremental and less polarizing.

Nick Loenen is a former Richmond Councillor and MLA, co-founder of Fair Voting B.C. and author of Citizenship and Democracy: A case for Proportional Representation.
